(Leatherwood) Autumn colour pictured. The sole species in the genus Cyrilla. Common along creeks and swamps preferring acid, sandy and peaty soils. Primarily evergreen however during the autumn months some of the foliage turns a brilliant red and will fall from the plant. Can be deciduous in certain climates. Most recognisable for the white flowers during the summer.

(Pineapple Plant) So named for its yellow flowers which both look and smell like pineapple. Grows into a small tree which may have multiple trunks. It will appreciate a warm spot in the garden.

(Tree Daphne or Pompom Tree) Referred to as the Pompom tree, this beauty is one of the best known and well loved trees of South Africa. Is often used as a street tree but is small enough to fit into most gardens. When in flower over summer it resembles a giant bunch of fairy floss due to its profuse covering of soft pink flower heads. Considered hardy, relatively drought and frost tolerant.

Danae racemosa or commonly known as Alexandrian laurel, Is a soft and elegant foilaged plant. This evergreen shrub grows to 1.3 metres tall and a spead 1.3-1.5 metres. Perfect for a ground cover or a low level informal hedgeing option. Part-Shade to Full-Sun.

The Nepalese Paper Plant is a small species of Daphne growing at altitude in the Himalayas. Reaches a height of no more than 2.5m. This species has deep pink flowers with a very strong fragrance.
