Maple

Acer buergerianumDeciduous tree reaching a height of 5–10 m and 6m wide with a trunk up to 50 cm diameter,and the flowers are produced in spring, they are yellow-green in colour.

acer campestre © bron andersonThe common, or field maple. The field maple is widely grown as an ornamental tree in parks and large gardens. Can reach a height of up to 25m.
 
Origin: Europe

Acer cappadocicumDeciduous tree reaching a height of 20-30m and 8-10m wide. maximum height reached in 20-50 years, full sun, with small yellow flowers in autumn.

acer carpinifolium © 2013A rare and hardy species of maple. This one has exquisite narrow leaves and lovely autumn colour. Acer carpinifolium has leaves which are very different to the normal lobed structure exhibited by most other maples. It makes a very elegant garden specimen.

Origin: Japan

A deciduous tree reaching a height at maturity of 5m and 5m wide. Full Sun, to Full shade but best colour in full sun. Has beautiful autumn foliage.

Linden-leaved Maple is a deciduous tree, growing up to 15m plus meters, flowers in june, can use the sap of the tree as a sweetener, alternative to sugar and can put full sun or part shade.

 

Acer fabri © bron andersonThis one does not have the typical three or five-lobed leaves, rather the foliage is un-lobed, slender and very glossy. Faber’s maple is evergreen, in comparison to most others that are deciduous. New growth is reddish and glossy and the tree bears red fruits. Makes a very ornamental small tree specimen.

Acer Griseum Paperbark MapleAttractive all year round, this beautiful tree is hardy and low maintenance. Also known as the Chinese paperbark maple, the leaves are glorious and throughout the dormant season you can enjoy the remarkable bark.

acer japonicum fairy lights maple  Dwarf, slow growing bush with horizontal branches. Finely cut leaves, vibrant scarlet autumn colour. Country of Origin: Japan.

This small, rounded Japanese maple makes a terrific focal point in shady gardens with its lime-tinged golden leaves. During the autumn months its leaves turn a stunning orange and red. This variety requires shade and protection from the sun and drying winds.
