Striking bright red, pear shaped fruit that has for centuries been prized in Europe and Central Asia. As an ornamental it is also valued for its delicate yellow flowers and beautiful yellow and red autumn foliage. Bred in the Ukraine for its large and tasty fruit.
A charming German form of Cornus mas originally selected for fruit production purposes. You will enjoy the beautiful clusters of yellow blooms in spring. Masses of bright red berries follow from summer onwards. Fruit sometimes used for jams and preserves.
