Enkianthus perulatus This is arguably the most elegant Enkianthus, masses of dainty, white pendulous bells flowers in early spring. It forms an exquisite, round shrub to 2 metres with tiered branching and perhaps it's most endearing feature blazing scarlet red autumn tones

Origin: Japan

Enkianthus quinqueflorus A deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub, growing to 2metres tall, narrow oval shaped leaves, flowering pink bell-shaped flowers.

Origin: China

Enkianthus serrulatus Deciduous shrub, white bell-like flowers in clusters in late winter (largest in Genis). Larger, longer leaves, colour orange tones in autumn.

Entelea arborescensEvergreen shrub or small tree notable for it large (to25cm or more), bright green, glossy leaves. Showy flowers white to 2.5cm across and produced abundantly in terminal heads. Excellent bold, tropical looking shrub. Sensitive to severe frost. The wood is considerably lighter than cork and was used by the Maoris as floats for fishing. Suits coastal sites.

Erythrina crista galliA flowering tree widely used in street plantings. Also known as the Brazilian Coral Tree. Grows up to 6m, stems are covered in thorns, scarlet red pea-shaped flowers, elongated dark brown pods. 

Origin: South America

A large vigorous, evergreen shrub with handsome dark green glossy foliage. The Summer/Autumn flowers are white in large panicles. Very good hedge plant tolerant of sea-side conditions and higher pH.

Upright rather narrow tree. Large white, scented flowers in summer. Dark green leaves are wavy-edged.

Origin: Chile 

Eucryphia lucida (Tasmanian Leatherwood) Endemic to the cool temperate rain forests of western Tasmania. Commonly known as Leatherwood. A medium-sized tree with a crown of glossy green leaves. Produces masses of white flowers with a honey scent. A favourite for Tasmanian beekeepers and honey production.
