Clerodendron bungeiThis selection was named in honour of Professor Alexander von Bunge. It is famed for its beautiful pink flower heads that have a delightful fragrance and are butterfly attracting. Even better – behind the flowers are deeper pink buds and the two tones give this plant its popularity.

Origin: Americas and North Australasia. Sri Lanka and Andaman Islands.

The Sweet Pepperbush is an upright suckering shrub with clove-scented white flowers. A favourite with bees and great for small gardens. Thrives in a moist but well drained soil and dappled sunlight.

Clethra alnifolia Ruby SpiceFragrant bottlebrush flowers are dark pink and attractive to bees and butterflies. A medium sized shrub that has good yellow autumn foliage. Tolerant of full shade.

This fragrant Shrub that has light Pink bottlebush like flowers and flowering in late summer and early autumn. Growing to 2 metres. Full-Sun to Part-Shade.  

Clethra arboreaLily of the valley tree, is an evergreen tree with large broad green leafs, that grows to 8 metres tall. Flowering white between Spring and Summer. Full-Sun to Part-Shade.

Origin: Northern Africa 

A double flowering Lily-of –the-valley selection with beautiful lustrous deep green leaves. Fragrant white flowers are produced in summer and have a nice pink tinge. The youngest branches have a red blush.

 clethra delavayii © 2013 Excellent large shrub with scented terminal racemes of flowers in Summer and crimson Autumn tones. Best in well watered conditions.

A flowering evergreen tree growing up to 10m. Small scented white flowers begin in summer and are then followed by berries which are first red and then age to black. A common tree in the evergreen oak forests.

Origin: Japan, Korea and China

Cleyera japonica tricolor(Fortunei) A member of the tea family. The horizontal branches bear narrow green leaves which emerge with a pinky-red tinge and are marbled with white and salmon. Fragrant white flowers during summer. Best for sun to part shade in positions that remain moist during hot summers.

Clianthus puniceus Kaka Beak Commonly known as Kaka Beak, this beautiful shrub growing to 2metres tall. Flowering bright red flowers in Spring and early Summer.

Origin: New Zealand, Northern island.
