New foliage bright creamy yellow with some yellowish colour retained all year round.

Cedrus libani HedgehogA very dense, dwarf, low spreading form of Lebanese Cedar with lush thick growth.Slow growing small bushy shrub with tufts of thickly needled branches. A beautiful feature for the rockery or pot culture.

Tree with tiered branches.A tree 20-30m tall with conical crown,becoming tiered or umbrella-shaped with age.It is native to lebanon,Syria and Turkey,and grows at an altitude of 1,300-3,00m.The ascending branches become horizontal with age.The needles are 4-sided,stiff and dark green,1.5-3.5cm long,20-35 in whorls.The pollen-cones are 3-5cm long.The immature cones are green,ripening to grey-brown with purplish edges to the seed-scales,barrel-shaped,solitary and errect,8-10x4-6cm.Hardiness zone 6-9.

Slow growing bushy form, good for bonsai.A dwarf shrub with very densely arranged limbs,developing into a globose bush.Needles grey-green,15-18mm long,in bundles of 30-40.It has multiple trunks and is broader at the top of the plant than at the base.In ten years 1.5x1.5m.Common in cultivation since 1838.

Sun or deep shade.A slow growing columnar cultivar with stiff rod-like branches grwoing steeply upright.The leaves are long,spirally arranged,deep,dark glossy green.In ten years 1.3-1.8x0.4m.Grown before 1830 in japan.

Compact slow growing green bun. A minature, globular bush with small, fan-shaped brachlets of slightly bloomy, light green foliage. Very similar to 'Juniperoides'. Suitable for an alpine house or trough.

Compact slow growing bush with attractive foliage.  A dwarf bush, intermediate in growth between 'Nana' and 'Pygmaea'. Conical with flatened and mossy sprays of bright green foliage, bronzing in winter. Suitable for a rock garden.

A conical tree with flattened sprays of golden yellow foliage. Introduced by Robert Fortune in 1860. A looser slightly taller-growing plant then 'Nana' with golden yellow foliage. Perhaps the best dwarf golden conifer.

Chamaecyparis obtusa Nana GracilisA conical bush or small tree of dense, compact habit. Foliage dark green, in short, neat, shell-like sprays. Prehaps the most commonly planted dwarf conider, eventually  attaining several meters in height.
