catalopa bignonioides aurea © 2013(Golden Catalopa) Deciduous tree with large round to heart shaped leaves of bright yellow. Height: 20 metres x 4.6 meters wide.Full sun to part shade.

catalpa x erubescens purpurea 1A fantastic cultivar with dramatic foliage. Is similar in height and spread to most Catalpas and it has lovely white flowers marked with yellow and purple. The leaves are a rich brown-purple during the spring and slowly darken over time.Full sun to part shade.

ceanothus joyce coulter ©A vigorous evergreen shrub with dark green and glossy leaves. Tolerant of dry conditions and quite frost hardy. In late winter and spring the large mid-blue flower heads create a striking display.Morning sun afternoon shade.

ceanothus arboreus 'trewithen blue' © 2014This is the tallest member of the genus Ceanothus. Has been extensively used in formal hedging, roadside plantings and screening across Europe and the USA. A great small tree, usually flowers in winter-spring.Full sun, afternoon shade.

Ceanothus gloriosusCommon on the coastlines of California, growing both on the coast and on the lower slopes of the mountains. Reaches to 2m in height. Foliage has serrated edges and the flowers are a bright blue/purple. Full sun to part shade.

Ceanothus x delileanus Gloire de VersaillesA vigorous medium-sized deciduous shrub. This one has a rounded habit with broadly oval, light green leaves. The large panicles of scented powder-blue flowers fit nicely in cottage style gardens. Full sun to part shade.

Ceanothus pallidus Perle Rose A deciduous shrub, that grows to 1m - 1.5 metres tall and 1.5 metres wide. This beautful shrub flowers in Spring and summer. Full sun to part shade.

Cedrus sinensis Chinese CedarA spectacular feature tree during spring when the pale pink new foliage bursts into life. Foliage slowly turns cream and then a deep green. Will grow up in 8m in height in an upright, narrow habit. The young leaves are commonly used as a vegetable in China, having an onion-like flavour.Full sun to part shade.

Cephalanthus occidentalisA member of the coffee family, the Buttonbush is a shrub or small tree which can reach up to 6m, however it often grows wider than it does tall. The mid summer blooms resemble fuzzy white balls. These mature to spherical fruits. Glossy green foliage with red veins that mature to yellows and burgundy’s in autumn.Full sun to part shade.

Ceratonia siliquaCeratonia Siliqua, also known as the Carob, St Johns Bread or locust bean. As well as the seed pods providing an alternative to chocolate (ground seed pods) Carobs are very beautiful evergreen specimen shade tree. The bronze new growth adds a nice touch to this hardy and very utilitarian tree. Full sun.

Origin: Mediterranean, levant into Iran, Northern Africa, Macaronesia (islands off North-West Africa).
