Atherosperma, commonly known as the blackheart sassafras, is evergreen tree, that grows around 8meters. This tree has the protential to grow to 25meters. Flowering in the winter (June to August), the flowers are a white petall with a yellow insert. This tree makes a great hedge or feature tree in ones garden. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist soil. Origin: Tasmania, Victoria, and NSW of Australia.
