Aesculus indicaFrom the Himalaya is a spectacular early summer flowering tree, produces seeds smaller them common horse chestnut. Deciduous mountain slope tree, in moist, shady valleys. Growing up to 30meters tall with peeling grey to green bark. flowering in July mainly white, with bits of yellow and then turn red a the base of flower.full sun to part shade.

Aesculus parvifloraAlso known as bottlebrush buckeye or the dwarf horse chestnut. A deciduous suckering shrub growing 3-5m in height. The flowers are arranged in long panicles that resemble a traditional bottle brush. The latin  ‘parviflora’ means ‘small-flowered’.Full sun to part shade.

Aesculus sylvaticaCommonly known as Painted Buckeye is deciduous shrub or small tree, flowers yellow in a terminal, erect cluster, each with 4 petals  1m -3m in growth,  yellow to yellow green to pinkish green flowers in early spring. Full Sun to partial shade.


Origin: North Carolina, South Carolina USA  

Aesculus x carneaRed Horsechestnut .  Yellow-brown autumn colour. Red flowers appear in upright and will be in May from the age of 8 years and this species is resistant to urban climate and industrial pollution. Growing to 15 in high and 10 spreading, Full-Sun to Part Shade.

Origin:  First appeared in Germany before 1820.

aesculus x carnea 'brioti' (Red Horse Chestnut) Known as the red horse chestnut, this hybrid has very large, coarse textured, deep green leaves. A good choice for a specimen tree being pyramidal in shape when very young and developing into a round, dense shade tree at 5-7 years of age. Outstanding spring displays of blossoms.Full sun to part shade.
 

Aesculus x carnea PlantierensisIntense rose-pink flowers are the hallmark of this hybrid. A medium sized tree growing up to 25m in height that is popular in large gardens an parks. Full sun to part shade.

Aesculus x neglecta ErythroblastosSpectacular orange-pink or shrimp new leaves in spring. Later pale green,yellow orange in autumn. Flowers are yellow, small tree.Full sun to part shade.

agapetes red elf berry A compact form with arching branches and glossy green leaves. Striking red lantern-like flowers.Part shade.

agapetes meiniana © 2013 Small evergreen shrub with glossy green leaves. Bright red new growth and many bright red waxy tubular flowers.Part shade.

agapetes serpens A rare and delightful variety from the Himalayas. This fascinating plant takes its name from the greek word for ‘beloved’. A cool climate species with long arching branches that produce scarlet jewel-like blooms during spring. A small to medium shrub.Part shade.
