Tuberous perrenial from rocky mediterranean areas. Attractive large, divided and spotted leaves. Foul smelling large maroon-purple flowers in spring-summer.

Drepanostachyium falcatumThe Himalayan weeping bamboo , maximum Height: 2.5m. Culm Diameter: 6mm. Minimum Temperature: – 10°C ... Beautiful Asian genus of medium growing mountain clumping bamboos , member of the grass family. They are endemic to China, Indochina, and the Indian Subcontinent.

echium pininara © 2014Large coarse green leaves to 0.4m or more stand out from single tall bristly stem to 4 metres. the flowers head begins at about 1-1.5metres and forms a narrow pyramid of deep blue flowers to the peak of the stems. Probably needs more water than most echiums.

 Tower of Jewels, superb monocarpic biennial. The silvery-grey narrow leaves are a showy feature. The flowers occur in the second year and form a spectacular bright pink-red column to 2metres or more.
