(Painted Bamboo) A large area is best suited to this ‘painted bamboo’. The wide yellow poles have green stripes. Wind makes it vibrate with a hollow whistling sound. Great as a screen or wind barrier. Can grow to be tall and 4-5m around. Best for large gardens.

Yucca like large greyish sword shaped leaves. The flower stalk extends up to 2m and is pinkish re. Pink flowers with green tip hang from the stem.

A fantastic looking bamboo – it's shiny black culms contrast perfectly against the green leaves. A fast grower is given adequate food and water.

The giant Himalayan lily is the largest of all the lily plants. It grows up to 3.5 metres high and will naturalise a moist woodland. It is native to the Himalayas, China and Myanmar. A terrific large perennial with upright greenish flower stalks , streaked purplish inside. The lush rounded large leaves , give the same softening effect in the landscape as Hosta.
