Magnolia

Of the same parentage as popular favourites 'Athene' and 'Milky Way', this hybrid has exquisite, large pure cream flowers which resemble the lotus flower after which it is named. Flowering is mid-season. ‘Lotus’ matures into an upright pyramidal tree to approximately 5m.

Magnolia x Manchu Fan An upright, deciduous tree with masses of goblet-shaped flowers during spring. Flowers are white, flushed with dark pink at the base of the outer petals. ‘Manchu Fan’ prefers a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade and well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Cover the soil with mulch after planting to keep the root zone cool. A magnificent specimen tree suitable for the smaller garden.

Magnolia Margaret Helen HybridA newer hybrid with rich pink flowers on a tree to a height of 6m.

Origin: New Zealand

Magnolia Milky WayGorgeous white flowers with pink at their base. Many blooms are produced, even on young plants. Pyramidal growth.

magnolia orchidA large shrub or small tree reaching up to 10m in height. The up turned blooms open to a lovely saucer shape, appearing in late winter and spring. Flowers are a deep pink to magenta in colour.

Magnoila x Princess MargaretConsidered a jewel amongst the hybrid Campbell Magnolias. Beautiful flowers are pink on the outside and white within. The buds first open to a rounded flower form and then take on a lotus flower shape as they mature. A fast growing variety when young but growth slows as the plant matures. Reaches a height of 6-8m.

Magnoila x Royal PurpleA small deciduous tree with large glossy green leaves. Brilliant large purple flowers appear in late winter and spring before the leaves. The colour of the flower contrasts well with the dark branches. This magnolia adds stunning early spring colour to your garden.

Magnoila x RubyRich Purple-red goblet shaped flowers similar to M.Lennei but larger. Narrow upright growth habit.

Magnoila x SayonaraSmall deciduous tree with huge milky white, globe-shaped flowers, with flushs of pinkish purple at the base. The flowers can reach up to 30cm across. A mutura tree growing up to 4m tall and a spead of 3m wide. Full-Sun to Part-Shade.

magnolia x alba superbaFlowers white, flowering 10-14 days after Magnolia denudata. It is doubtful whether this form is significantly different from 'Alba'.
