Magnolia

Magnoila AtlasThis stunning hybrid has one of the largest Magnolia flowers in the world – the blooms are up to 35cm across and petals up to 15cm wide in soft lilac pink tones. Spectacular displays, however, adequate shelter is required.

Magnoila Burgundy StarThis beautiful upright and deciduous tree has spectacular burgundy coloured blooms appearing in early spring before the new leaves appear. Flowers are big and showy, with tree height reaching approximately 4m in 10 years. Foliage turns from green to yellow during autumn. Great for smaller spaces due to its width minimal width (1.5m). Best in full sun and when protected from strong winds.

magnoila x ButterflyA small tree usually with an upright central leader. ‘Butterfly’ is named for its yellow cup to star-shaped and fragrant flowers. Blooms appear before the leaves in early to mid-spring. Grows best in moist, well-drained, preferably acidic to neutral soil. Prefers sun or partial shade.

m felixMagnolia Felix® is a stunning woody tree that grows well in most climates, tolerating all but the coldest temperatures. It prefers a full sun location and enjoys protection from strong winds. In early spring a mass of magnificent, open-faced hot pink flowers adorn the tree. Magnolia Felix® is an upright smaller tree growing to a height of 16 feet, making it suitable for smaller gardens or featured in larger landscape plantings.

Magnoila x Gold StarThis unique hybrid Magnolia has beautiful green-purple leaves flushed with a deep red when young. Grows to a large shrub/ small bushy tree. Looks like a yellow stellata and considered an ideal touch on sunshine for the smaller garden.

Magnolia iolantheA striking and unusual hybrid tree, Magnolia x 'Iolanthe' produces masses of large, showy flowers. Petals are purple-pink on the outside and a contrasting white on the inside. Magnolia x 'Iolanthe' will grow to be a small tree and is best in a position with full sun or light, dappled shade which does not receive sunlight first thing in the morning.

magnolia x loebneri ballerina © 2013A medium sized variety producing masses of white flowers, tinged with pink centres. Flowering from late winter into spring. Perfect for use as a specimen or as a companion to other flowering trees.

magnolia loebneri massy rose © 2013'Massey Rose' is a compact, deciduous shrub producing fragrant, rich pink, star-like shaped flowers. It will flower from an early age. 'Massey Rose' is frost, drought and wind tender but copes quite well in colder locations.

Magnolia x loebneri MerrillAlso known as Merrill Magnolia, this selection boasts extremely pretty pure white flowers. The profuse floral display covers the tree in early spring. This is a quite slow growing selection, and will reach a maximum height of 5m, making it ideal for a small garden. Magnolia x loebneri Merrill thrives best in free draining soils and will tolerate lime.
