Height: 6-8', Width: 6-8'. Slow-growing, mounded, dissectum form with younger leaves emerging light yellow-green highlighted by a halo of red along the margins, aging to medium green. Sun to part shade.

Vigorous Weeping Dissected Japanese Maple that retains the reds and purples of spring until Autumn. The Autumn blaze is as good as any other cultivar. As well as the speed of growth Tamukeyama retains the elegance of other Weeping Maples and is not as stiff and horizontal as Inabe Shidare. Jean Iseli from renowned Iseli Nursery in Oregon framed these two varieties for me , as major improvements in Color and habit and vigour in the early 1980s. Introduced by Yamina Rare Plants.
