Considered one of the true gems of the dwarf Japanese maple group. It has amongst the smallest of leaves. Light green leaves emerge in the spring tinged with orange, eventually morphing to green by summer. Autumn is welcomed with yellow, orange and scarlet reds. This is a slow grower, reaching a maximum height of around 1.5m in 10 years.

Growth habitat is upright, reaching 4 metres once matured. Suburb variegated foliage, well suited to a shaded position. Leaves change from pink margins in Autumn, to white margins in Summer.

An outstanding new variety known for its classic elegance. This deciduous small tree with an upright growth habit is famed for purple-red foliage which deepens to a shiny black-red as the leaves mature. Will grow to approx. 4m in height.

One of the most stunning of the spring maple collection, often referred to as 'fire engine red' as the colour is one of the brightest cultivars. Leaves are reddish green in summer. In Autumn a blaze of vibrant red Autumnal tones. A beautiful small deciduous tree of perhaps 4-5 metres, as the plant matures.

A slow growing maple with unusually glossy leaves that are often curled up. Drawing attention to itself for its foliage, this variety has deep green leaves that last into autumn and are heavy and firm to touch. 'Shishi Gashira' is also unique in that it can grow to 15 feet tall yet it is considered one of the best bonsai trees in the world. The name 'Shishi Gashira' means "Lion's Head" or "Lion's Mane."

‘Baby Lace’ is an interesting lace leaf maple that has leaves that are half the size of normal dissectum leaves. New foliage emerges red-orange and then becomes bronze-green over summer. ‘Baby Lace’ becomes about 3 feet tall in a 10 year period, forming a roundish, dense shrub.
