A quality evergreen large shrub reaching 3-4 metres. Introduced from central China by plant hunter Wilson in 1900 , for Veitch & Son in England. Makes excellent mass landscape planting or accent garden background screen. Features long , veined wrinkled, evergreen dark foliage with grey reverse. Flower buds, petiole and new growth have a rusty-red hairiness. Flowers sit above the branches in creamy-white spring clusters. The oval fruit is red maturing black.
A large, upright deciduous shrub with 3-lobed, maple-like leaves. Foliage is a deep bronze-purple when young, and purple in autumn. Lacecap flower-heads have deep red buds surrounded by white florets and appear in spring.

Viburnum setigerum seeds.ea Viburnum. Native of China. The leaves were used by the Monks on Mt Omei to make a sweet tea which had medicinal purposes , hence the name. The fruit is orange-yellow to red at maturity in profusion. White flowers mildly perfumed. The foliage soft blue-green to darker green and turning delightful oranges and reds in autum.
A medium-sized, evergreen shrub bearing leathery, ovate or rotund, glossy green leaves, 7.5-13cm long. The domed panicles of fragrant, rose-tinted flowers are produced in early spring. Fruits, when produced, globular, red. An attractive species for mild localities where it is best grown against a waem,sheltered wall. Japan(Ryukyu islands) Taiwan.

One of the most popular evergreens. A medium-sized to large shrub of dense, bushy habit with luxurious masses of dark glossy green, oval leaves. Flattened cymes of white, pink budded flowers appear continuously from late autumn to early spring. Fruits ovoid, metallic-blue, finally black. An excellent winter flowering shrub for all but the coldest areas.
More often habitat and larger, more hairy leaves then V.tinus. Flowers white in flat corymbs in spring. New growth purple-brown.
A terrific evergreen shrub that makes a quality specimen or wonderful hedge. Winton is a unique Hillier Nursery hybrid viburnum ; a cross between v.erubescens and v.henryi. The first parent V. Erubescens gives it rich purple red leathery leaves in autumn, and V. Henryi ;sweetly scented rose-pink flowers in spring. We introduced this variety to Australia and it will gain popularity with more exposure. Red berries follow flowering.
