viburnum davidii © 2013A small evergreen shrub with deep green leaves that are heavily veined. Small dull white flowers followed by long lasting metallic blue berries.  Received an RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Origin: Europe

Viburnum carlesii Grows best in moist well drained sheltered spot out of the hot summer winds.

Origin: Korea and Japan

Viburnum farreriAn erect deciduous shrub of 2.5 metres, with sweetly perfumed and pink-tinged white round flower heads from late autumn to early spring . Northern China.

Viburnum japonicumA stunning rounded evergreen shrub with glossy leaves that are wavy. White flowers in spring. Useful for low hedging and responds well to pruning. Protect from the hot afternoon sun for optimum results.

Origin: Taiwan and Japan

Viburnum macrocephalumGiant white snowball flowers that mass flower in Spring. A wonderful large shrub for a relatively sunny spot reaching 3-4 metres or more in 10-15 years. Magnificent specimen for the True gardener.

viburnum odoratissimum emerald lustre © 2013A large shrub/small tree that gives fast results. Named after its bright emerald  green foliage. Spring is marked by clusters of small white fragrant flowers, followed by reddish-black berries. 

Origin: Asia

viburnum opulus aureum © 2013A very compact and ornamental form. This bushy and hardy perennial offers yellow and white flowers in spring and summer. New foliage is yellow, and then turns a deep green. Grows best in semi-shade and prefers medium water levels. Attractive in borders and mixed plantings. Fruit can be toxic.
