hamamelis diane © 2014A red flowered form with spreading branches that is noted for its winter flowers. The blooms are orange-red and have narrow ribbon-like crimped petals. The broad oval leaves turn from green to various shades of yellow, orange in red throughout autumn.

Origin: Asia

Hamamellis i JelenaAn upright form with spreading branches.  The winter flowers are copper in colour and quite fragrant. It is a slow growing form but a good choice for adding colour in the winter to the garden. Formerly called ‘Copper Beauty’.

Origin: Eastern Asia

hamamelis mollis pallida © 2014Considered one of the best of the witch hazels in terms of fragrance and delightful spider-like flowers during winter.  It has bright green leaves that turn yellow during autumn. The large flowers are sulphur-yellow, have crimped petals and stand out on the bare branches. RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Hamamelis x intermedia Arnold PromiseBright yellow flowers in profusion on more compact bush. Growing to 4metres. Full-Sun to Part-Shade. Reddish or yellow autumn colour.

Hartia sinensisEvergreen, large shrub related to Stewartia. White Camellia-like flowers. 

This Non-climbing and dwarf evergreen shrub, has erect and hard stems and small lobed foilage. Full-Sun to Part-Shade. Growing to 50-60cm tall.

Evergreen shrub, that grows to 3metres, new foilage is got a hint of ruby colour in it. Green flowers.

Hoheria populneaCommonly known as lacebark or houhere, this is a fast growing tree reaching up to 5m. The leaves have serrated edges and the plant is covered in white scented flowers during the summer/autumn period.
